A few years back, I spend a week in Alaska during the summer to produce a multi-media story on families who are self-sufficient on the land to feed themselves and their families. From an Elk farm to a herb enthusiast who makes her own medicine from the land, to a tomato farm growing fruit as big as your head, the people of Alaska are a resourceful and welcoming bunch!
